TSX HEADLINES – for November 30, 2018: Since being selected to host the 2028 Olympic Games last year, little has been heard from the LA28 organizing committee.
It has been laying low, but Chair Casey Wasserman (pictured) was center stage at the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees in Tokyo. His presentation – the first of many for the organizing committee – covered what LA28 has been doing and what the focus will be for the future.

(1) THE BIG PICTURE: The Association of National Olympic Committees finally solved thei problem of what to do about their presidential election with the sole candidate – Sheikh Ahmad of Kuwait – under indictment in Switzerland!
(2) BASKETBALL: The U.S. men got pounded by Argentina in a FIBA 2019 World Cup qualifier in La Rioja, 80-61, so what are American chances for qualification now?
(3) SWIMMING: It had to be: Katie Ledecky became the first qualifier for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials with a win in the 800 m Freestyle at the 2018 USA Swimming Winter Nationals in Greensboro. Nathan Adrian and Simone Manuel won too!
